Vision – Ahead of the Curve
Sasak Minerals is a privately owned Australian company, founded in 2010 by four highly experienced mineral explorers and mine developers.
We believe that most of the large, outcropping orebodies have been discovered in Australia, 60 percent of which is covered by younger, masking sequences. Orebodies lie undiscovered under this cover, and Sasak is at the forefront to find them. In-house, proprietary, data-mining technology offers Sasak a unique competitive advantage to see through this cover, to generate new targets that will drive the next wave of mineral discoveries.
Sasak is now seeking interested partners to share the risk in unlocking significant value.
Founding Partners
A combined track record of successful exploration leading to discovery and mineral development over the last 30 years, including: Sepon (Cu/Au), Laos; PRC (potash) and Altar (Cu/Au), Argentina; Mina Justa, Constancia, and La Granja (Cu), Peru; Amargosa (bauxite), Brazil; Escondida brownfields, and Spence development (Cu/Au), Chile; Costerfield (Au/Sb), and Kintyre (U), Australia.
Sasak’s Competitive Advantage
1. DATA
Utilising one of Australia’s largest geo-scientific databases, held in Geographic Information System (GIS) and holding over 10 Terabytes of data. At Sasak we believe that the playing field has been leveled, and that large companies no longer have a competitive advantage with data, as huge geoscientific databases are available to any company with the resources and vision to act. Sasak uses advanced “Data Mining” and “Predictive Analytical” techniques to model our large data holdings, thus extracting the critical information and knowledge required for robust target identification and project generation that will provide for future growth for many years to come.
2. TECHNOLOGY
Developing proprietary techniques to “predict” geochemistry & geology under cover using public domain geochemical, geophysical & other databases. At Sasak the philosophical basis for target generation is that, by definition, every mineral deposit is a geochemical anomaly, and thus geochemistry forms the basis of our discovery process. However, we recognize that geophysical tools are the only ones that can tell us what is under cover so we have married the two techniques for geochemical predictive purposes.
3. COMMERCIALISATION
Generating and commercialising high potential/high value exploration targets, including under cover. Currently focusing on IOCG deposits, which have potential to be very significant in size, and are attractive to all sized companies.
4. R&D
Continuing commitment to Research and Development.
